A Royal Love Affair!

The Best of Prince William and Kate Middleton's Romance

The spectacle that is Prince William and Kate's relationship is something that will never be tangible, but will always be enchanting. Check out some of our favorite fairy tale moments of the royal couple's romance.
A Royal Love Affair

Prince William and Kate Middleton have become the new media wonder -- there's no such thing as too much information, too many photos, kitschy toys honoring the couple, etc. To further satisfy the royal couple craving, we've rounded up some of the the pair's most glamorous -- and romantic -- moments together to date.
1. Official Engagement Photo

This is one of two of the couple's official engagement portraits. The future princess has said about William's proposal: "He's a true romantic and we had a wonderful holiday in Africa and it was out there in a very quiet lodge and it was very romantic and it was very personal time for both of us." No more Waity Katie!
2. College Sweethearts!

Kate and Prince William looked lucky-in-love at their 2005 graduation from St. Andrew's College. William -- who went by Steve for privacy reasons -- graduated with second class honors in geography. As for Kate, she earned a degree in History of Art...and snatched a prince. No big.
3. Alma Mater Love

Even noble figures have nostalgia for their old college days. William and Kate visited their alma mater, St. Andrew's College, in Scotland -- where they met almost a decade earlier. The two helped celebrate the school's 600th anniversary. Gosh, and we thought Harvard was old at 375-years-old!
4. Classy Couple

The future king and king looked regal at the wedding of horserider Harry Meade and Rosemarie Bradford in London. Guess wedding bells are contageous: the palace announced the couple's engagement just a month later. (Though they were already secretly engaged.)
5. England Does Ireland

During an early 2011 trip to Northern Ireland, Kate and William visited an agricultural college -- and got stuck in a torrential downpour. The trip was kept top-secret until the very last minute for security purposes. It's so complicated to be royal!
6. Last Pre-Wedding Sighting

Right when everyone couldn't get enough of these two, Kate and Prince William made their finsl public appearance together before saying their vows. The stately pair paid a visit to a north England park to endorse the importance of outdoor recreational space. They've gotta be fit to look that good...
7. Look of Love

One of two official engagement photos showed the couple looking cuddly, a nice 180 from their usual arm-in-arm reserved strut. The royal staff announced their engagement in November, a month after the actual proposal in Kenya.
8. A Night on The Town

So refreshing. Royal members do go out and drink and look sloppy after a night out -- and these two did just that after hitting up London's Boujis Nightclub back in 2007. Everyone hates on Kate for drinking, wearing short dresses, and coming from an average family background, but we dig it.
9. Snow Bunnies

A royal ski trip calls for no less than the lavish French Alps. Kate and William kept themselves upright on the slopes before enjoying pancakes, muddled wine and champagne with some friends, including little sister Pippa Middleton. The couple also got some serious sledding, snowmobiling and skiing in during their white vacay.

10. Stiff Camera Pose

After returning from Kenya, where Prince William reportedly proposed in a lodge (OK, a high-end one), the royal couple posed at St. James Place. Clarence House released an official announcement: "The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince William to Miss Catherine Middleton." Not to mention that 18-carat sapphire and diamond ring.
11. First Engaged Appearance

Aside from the plethora of staged pics these two took after their engagement, their visit to the Hereford Endeavor lifeboat in marked the first public outing as an engaged duo. To celebrate, Kate popped some champagne and sang a few anthems...OK, it was as a tribute to the military ship, but whatever.
12. Good Samaritans

Prince William and Kate visited the New Zealand High Commission to commiserate the loved ones of those who lost their lives in an early 2011 earthquake. This is one of many altruistic endeavors we expect to see of these two.
13. Pretty at Christmastime

Kate -- who by this time has announced she'd be going by "Catherine" (so much more honorable) and her man attended a reception for the Teenager Cancer Trust during Christmas of 2010. Nothing like sharing your good tidings during the holidays.
